giglocal

Ten years of local music know-how, turned into a brand and platform built to put more artists into more venues.

The finished giglocal website

The idea was already there.

Before elevo met Berni, she had already spent ten years nurturing local talent through open mic nights and earning the trust of venues across the area.

She had a clear vision, 16 artists, three venues and a notebook keeping track of everything. The opportunity was real. It just needed a name, a system and somewhere to grow.

Before. After.

Before

A network in a notebook

Strong relationships, local credibility and a clear vision — all managed by hand, with no shared place for artists and venues to join in.

After

A platform made for it

A clear brand and purpose-built website, with separate routes for artists and venues — and 41 artists across 11 venues already on the books.

What I built

  1. 01

A name with the idea built in

giglocal says exactly what it does. Local artists. Local venues. More live music happening closer to home.

  2. 02

A brand people could get behind

The look had to feel like a night out, not a booking system. Bold, direct and recognisable wherever the next gig appears.

  3. 03

    One place to run it

The website gives artists and venues their own clear way in, replacing scattered notes with a platform built around how giglocal works.

  4. 04

    Built to grow

The idea, brand and website now work together — two months on from launch, 41 artists and 11 venues are on the books, up from 16 and 3.

The platform

What the website actually does.

Not a brochure. A working platform that artists, venues and punters use every week.

01

Artists run their own page

Every artist uploads their own bio, calendar, videos and photos. Their page shows their set lengths, their genres, their availability and their booked gigs — kept up to date by them, not by Berni.

02

Punters find the venues

Anyone after a great night of live music can find venues on the map, see what is on and pick their night out.

03

Search, match, book

Venues and the public search for exactly the act they want, for as long as they want. Matching artist calendars are right there, so a gig can be booked instantly.

04

Berni runs the whole thing

Full control and visibility over everything that happens, with immediate contact with venues and artists through a custom-built messaging centre, text and email.

The branding

A look made to be recognised.

One identity for the website, the gigs and everywhere giglocal shows up.

The finished experience

Built around the people who make local music happen.

Berni brought the knowledge, the relationships and the reason for doing it. elevo turned that foundation into something artists and venues can see, understand and use.
