Swatch Studio
Thirty years of sample books made by hand in Manchester, given a site that sells the craft — and a lookbook builder that lets a brand start its own book before the first phone call.
Visit swatch studio
The craft was already there.
Swatch Studio is a family-run maker of sample books, swatch booklets, sample sleeves and header cards for Britain's wallpaper and furniture brands. They have been doing it in Manchester since 1996 — set up by hand on 1940s Heidelberg presses, checked by the same hands that made the book.
For thirty years the work came through trade and word of mouth. The problem was not the making — it was that a first-time customer could not see the standard until they were holding a book. The site had to make the craft visible, and give the visitor something to do about it.

What the site does
A website that sells the craft.
The site puts thirty years of making in front of the brands that need it, then gives them a way to start: look at the products, see the process, design the book, request a quote.
01
Three trades, one standard of making
Separate routes in for wallpaper manufacturers, furniture makers and interior designers, so each visitor sees the work that looks like theirs.
02
Four products, made properly
Wallpaper sample books, fabric swatch books, sample sleeves and wallets, and hanging header cards — each with its own page and its own job.
03
Design your book, before the quote
A lookbook builder that lets a brand pick a format, cloth, foil and binding, add a logo and see the cover take shape — then save it for a quote and a proof.
04
A quote flow that starts the conversation
Request a quote is one button away everywhere on the site, so interest turns into an enquiry without a phone call first.

The finished experience
Thirty years of craft, out in the open.
Swatch Studio had the making, the presses and the reputation. Now the site shows the standard before anyone visits the works, and the lookbook builder turns interest into a saved design and a conversation.
